Vitamins and Sea beauty® is a beauty brand focused on skincare, body care, and more recently, hair care. At its core, the brand’s mission is to offer affordable, vegan, and sustainable products that actively target common issues like dry skin, inflammation, and signs of aging. All the products are formulated with efficacious marine-based ingredients, in addition to being cruelty free and free of parabens, sulfates, and phthalates. I began work on this brand in 2017 by conceptualizing the branding and identity and while it was originally called VitaminSea.beauty, we updated the name and trademarked it as Vitamins and Sea beauty® in 2021. I created the original product mix, starting with just a handful of skincare items like cleansers, toners, and face masks and over the years, I offered innovative ideas to the in-house development team to produce exciting new items that would end up in retailers like Ulta beauty, Walmart, and CVS. From the initial concept of the product’s ingredient story and romance copy, to the final production artwork and color coordination of the formula tints, Vitamins and Sea beauty® has been my longest and most successful project. Over the years, I have explored variations in the CADs I present, to showcase new packaging ideas, updated art direction, and enhanced sustainability and clean beauty opportunities. In addition to the brand’s product mix, I have played a leading role in the direction of its online presence, from directing the aesthetic of the social media accounts, to the build and maintenance of the brand’s e-commerce store. Finally, as with all brands I work on, once the products have been produced, I offer a compelling and notable back story, write a marketing proposal, and design various presentation decks for use by sales teams, existing and potential buyers, and PR or influencer collaborations.
